Please note effective October 1st any shipment into India will require a ISO 17712 High Security Seal.
Terminals in India will not discharge if containers do not have high security seals.  Carriers may be forced to return cargo to origin at shippers expense.

Things are definitely changing in this industry and one area most affected has been in the documentation process, particularly given new customs and EU/China regulations. Many carriers are charging manifest corrector fees, revision fees, late submission fees, etc.In most cases, there is a fee charged for each correction request on bills of lading. Piease note, Jo-Sak requires full BL instr as early as possible on the day of documentation cut off.

Please note that carriers are encouraging all shippers to use bolt seals on all containers shipped to Jamaica.Carriers are also reminding everyone that they will not absorb any additional fees that result from extra customs scans or examinations ordered due to faulty, inadequate, or deteriorated seals. Please be advised that. eff Aug 19,2013, there is a minor increase announced in the cost of PierPass fees for the ports of Los Angeles & Long Beach. The new costs will be: US $66.50/20' and US $133/40'. Please be guided accordingly.PierPass is a fee assessed for peak terminal hours to assist with traffic mitigation at the ports. There are off peak hours available for rtns, during which these charges are not applicable.
