Please note shipping lines have announced congestion surcharges if there is a strike, lockout, work stoppage, or labor related disruption for any US port on or after May 1st.  The US West Coast is of the utmost concern as the ILWU will start contract negotiations on May 12th.  Their contract expires June 30th and if they do not come to an agreement by June 30th on July 1st there will be a work stoppage which will cause these increases to take place.  We of course will keep you up to date but please keep in mind when you are working on new biz that US West Coast in July could face immediate increases due to work stoppage.
